Last year was dubbed the "Year of Travel" for our family. We spent 19 weeks traveling all over the place, both for work and play...Oahu, Maui, Los Angeles, Houston, Raleigh, Knoxville, Ocean City (MD), Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Whew!
It was fun, though a little frazzling and I was looking forward
to spending a little more of 2012 at home...
Aren't I naive?
Right now we're at Penn State, PA, halfway through our month-long visit. Joe has some work to do in one of their Plant Pathology labs so while he spends his days playing with DNA, the girls and I explore local parks and fool around in the hotel gym.
This weekend we're taking a little side trip to visit Niagra Falls.
It's only a 4.5 hour drive from here, so why not?!
I don't know why I thought we'd stay home this year.
We are obviously turning into Modern Nomads.
But all the wonderful places you are seeing Kim. I traveled so much growing up and it was an experience I wouldn't trade, but now I am such a homebody [having animals does that to a person]. Have fun and just enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI think it's fabulous how much you all travel!!! It changes people doesn't it? Even if you did stay put for awhile I bet you couldn't stand it for too long :). And your children, well, the benefits will show one day :). Enjoy your stay in PA, I think that state is beautiful!!!!
